1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of the ShowStride app and website operated by ShowStride LLC. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old or have parental/guardian consent to create an account. Junior riders may participate when a parent or legal guardian creates the account, signs waivers, and accepts these terms on the minor's behalf.

3. Your Account

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password.
• You must provide accurate and complete information when registering.
• You may not use another person's account without permission.
• You can delete your account at any time from the Profile page.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of local laws.
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent registration or scoring data.
• Harass, threaten, or impersonate other riders, trainers, or show staff.
• Attempt to access data you are not authorized to view.
• Interfere with the proper operation of the app or its servers.
• Upload content that infringes on the rights of others.

5. Show Entries & Payments

• Show entry fees, stall reservations, and supply orders are payments for services consumed at a physical event and are processed by Wix Payments (branded as "Base44 Payments").
• Entry fees are non-refundable unless a scratch is approved by the show manager, in which case refunds follow the show's published refund policy.
• Pro membership is a digital subscription with a 14-day free trial. You will not be charged until the trial ends. You can cancel anytime from the Membership page.
• Wallet deposits can be used toward entry fees and are non-transferable between users.

6. Waivers & Assumption of Risk

Equestrian sports involve inherent risk of serious injury or death to rider and horse. By registering for any show through ShowStride, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to the show's liability waiver, which may include the show's custom waiver text or the platform default. You assume all risks associated with participation. ShowStride is a software platform and is not the organizer, sponsor, or insurer of any show.

7. Scoring & Results

Scores and results entered through ShowStride are intended to be accurate but are subject to correction by show officials. Locked scores are immutable for sanctioning compliance. ShowStride is not responsible for scoring errors made by show staff. Final results and prize money are determined by the show organizer and governing body, not by ShowStride.

8. User Content

You retain ownership of content you upload (photos, memories, profile information). By uploading, you grant ShowStride a license to display that content within the app for the purpose of running shows and shared galleries. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to upload any content, including photos of other people.

9. Intellectual Property

The ShowStride app, its design, features, and underlying software are the property of ShowStride LLC. Scoring templates, national standard configurations, and discipline rules are sourced from governing bodies and used under applicable licenses. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute the app without permission.

10. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that show data will always be accurate. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our liability is limited to the fees you paid to us in the preceding 12 months.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes within the app. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
